The council election of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement’s Central Committee for Private Universities was held on Friday at the central office in Rupayan Tower, Banglamotor, Dhaka.
Omar Faruk as Chief Organizer
Omar Faruk (Yuvraj), a student of Civil Engineering at the International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT), has been elected as the Chief Organizer of the council. He secured 35 votes out of 65 councilors representing private universities across the country.
Omar Faruk played a significant role during the July uprising in the Uttara region. His victory has been celebrated by the student community of Greater Uttara, who expressed their enthusiasm and support.
New Leadership Announced
Zakir Hossain Monju from European University has been elected as the Convener of the Central Committee, while Sabina Islam from the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) has been appointed as the Member Secretary.
