After a thorough evaluation, the Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) has granted registration certificates to 72 new real estate developer companies. Additionally, the registrations of nine companies have been renewed.
A certificate distribution and experience-sharing session was held on Thursday at the RAJUK conference hall, where representatives from various developer companies shared their perspectives on urban development and construction regulations.
Ensuring Safe and Sustainable Urban Development:
Speaking at the event, RAJUK Member (Development & Development Control) Harun-or-Rashid emphasized the need for collective efforts in building a livable city for future generations. He stated that strict adherence to building regulations by developers would help ensure public safety and prevent future urban disasters.
In his presidential speech, RAJUK Chairman Major General (Retd.) Siddiqur Rahman Sarkar reaffirmed RAJUK’s commitment to regularizing the registration process for real estate developers. He warned that companies found violating regulations would face registration cancellation and other punitive actions.
Future Engagement and Oversight:
The RAJUK chairman also announced plans to hold annual or biannual meetings with developer companies to keep them updated on the latest construction policies and address industry concerns.
The event was attended by representatives from registered real estate companies and senior RAJUK officials, marking an important step toward ensuring compliance and sustainable urban growth in Bangladesh.
