Antu Das (Hriday), Tangail :
Ananda Kumar Ghosh, a returnee expatriate from Tangail’s Palpara area, has been struggling with his treatment due to financial hardship. In 2022, he suffered a severe motorcycle accident, which left his right leg fractured. Despite prolonged treatment, he has yet to recover fully.
So far, his medical expenses have amounted to around Tk 10 lakh. However, due to financial constraints, his treatment has now come to a halt. The infection in his leg is worsening, but he cannot afford the necessary medical care. His family estimates that an additional Tk 6 lakh is needed for his recovery.
Living in Dire Straits :
Ananda Ghosh, the sole breadwinner of his family, is currently facing extreme financial hardship. He has a wife and two children. His daughter is an SSC examinee this year, but her education is at risk due to financial struggles. Meeting even the family’s basic needs has become an uphill battle.
Appeal for Support:
Earlier, relatives and local residents contributed to his treatment. However, for advanced medical care, more financial assistance is required. His family has now appealed to affluent individuals and philanthropists for help.
The Tangail District Social Services Office has also assured some aid. Md Touhidul Islam, Tangail’s District Social Services Officer, stated that they would provide as much government assistance as possible.
