Worshippers at Risk: Crumbling Satkua Jam-e-Masjid in Ghatail Awaits Urgent Reconstruction

Sagar Ahmed, Ghatail Correspondent:

In the heart of Satkua Mondol Para, Sandhanpur Union, Ghatail, worshippers are offering prayers at Satkua Jam-e-Masjid, risking their lives every day. The mosque’s pillars have collapsed, walls have developed deep cracks, and the structure is on the verge of falling apart. Yet, due to financial constraints, the local community remains unable to rebuild it.

A Struggle for Reconstruction:

Speaking to locals Arshed Ali, Amir Ali, and Sohel Rana, it was evident that the lack of funds has stalled any hopes of renovation. The village, consisting of around 100 households, is situated in a hilly region where most residents struggle financially, making it difficult for them to raise the required amount for reconstruction.

An Appeal for Help:

With no immediate solution in sight, villagers have called upon generous individuals and charitable organizations to come forward and assist in building a new mosque. They have also specifically appealed to Tuhin Abdullah, the owner of Zakaria Trust, urging him to extend his support.

Locals believe that with financial assistance from kind-hearted donors, the mosque can be rebuilt, ensuring a safe place for worship.

(For contributions and support, locals request direct contact with the mosque committee.)
